Johanne Blaquière was born in Saint-Hyacinthe in the province of Quebec, Canada. She now lives in the region of Montérégie, QC, CA. She studied at the University of Quebec in Montreal, and graduated in Graphic Design.
After several years as a graphic designer, her career branched off into drawing and painting, an art which she has been developing ever since. Over the past 12 years, she been involved in teaching art, all the while continuing to perfect her technic and style.
International artist, Johanne Blaquière received recognition from her peers, as well as several honorary awards, including two major ones: first prize for her whole work and the proclamation of the Fine Arts Academician Quebec 2013. In 2014, she was chosen Artist of the year to the Legacy Art Show, Albuquerque New Mexico.
Her work is currently on display in the Rio Grande Gallery, Albuquerque New Mexico, as well as at the Pena Gallery in Santa Fe. She has also to her credit several Exhibitions abroad.
