An exceptional journey at the crossroads of elegance, soul and mastery
Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, in 1956, Johanne Blaquière has forged a unique path, imbued with meaning, technical mastery, and faithfulness to her creative instinct. At a very young age, it was in the studio of her aunt—a renowned animal painter—that she came into contact with the raw emotion of painting and the natural nobility of the horse. This founding imprint would never leave her.
A graduate in graphic design from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Johanne initially pursued a career in graphic design. This period allowed her to refine her eye and cultivate her sense of structure and composition—skills she now transposes into each of her works. But painting, freer and more visceral, is reclaiming its place. It has become the space for all emotions, all truths.

For over 25 years, Johanne Blaquière has combined two vocations: transmitting art by teaching painting in Beloeil, and producing striking works that inhabit the walls of discerning collectors and refined spaces.
Recognized by her peers, she received first prize for her entire body of work, as well as the title of Master of Fine Arts from the International Academy of Fine Arts of Quebec.
Its influence transcends borders.
In 2014, she was named Artist of the Year at the Legacy Art Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Today, his works are represented in renowned galleries in the United States, and exhibited in places where art becomes an integral part of the architecture and identity of the place.
Johanne Blaquière is a Quebec painter whose work is recognized for her unique ability to capture the essence and energy of horses, as well as that of other animals and Indigenous culture.
His style oscillates between realism and expressiveness, where each brushstroke seems to bring his subjects to life.
Her passion for horses dates back to her childhood, where she spent time in the stables alongside her aunt, a renowned animal painter.
This deep connection with the animal and his love of drawing have shaped his artistic journey.
